The Belfast concert (12th May 1998).
|
Three years to the day since Larry last performed in Belfast, he was back! After the concert, people were saying that this was his best ever in Ireland - it certainly was an extra-special night. Larry was in good form, although suffering a little from shortness of breath, and used both guitar and piano extensively. He was supported by Brian Hueston, a local singer, who also did a duet with Larry. 2.5 hours of vintage and not so vintage Norman, as he served up some old favourites, some more obscure "Bootleg & Street Level" songs, and a good sprinkling of new material. One to remember - for sure! |
