The L'Derry concert (16th May 1995).
The Londonderry concert may be the last concert Larry ever performs in Northern Ireland. Because of that fact, it was always bound to be very special, but Larry made it extra special. This was a solo concert, unplugged and free. Larry enjoyed himself and joked often with the audience, especially whenever he tried a sing-along in "Long Hard Road." At the end of the first part he was quite tired, but recovered and returned with some of his old energy. This was a stand-up concert, the chair was pushed aside: Larry came to the fight standing. He preached at the end for several minutes and prayed, and then finally walked off stage, perhaps for the last time here. After the concert he stayed around until the building was closing, and talked with everyone who wanted to talk to him.
Here is a list of the songs he sang in the order in which they were performed. They were interspaced by many comedic items and comment.
Six Sixty Six
God Part III
The Great American Novel
Sweet Song Of Salvation
Twelve Good Men
Watch What You're Doing
Long Hard Road
Rock The Flock
Why Don't You Look Into Jesus / I Hope I'll See You In Heaven
I Wish We'd All Been Ready
Weight Of The World / Let The Rain Fall Down / All The Way Home / If I Were A Singer
After the concert, I talked with Larry briefly about the WWW and he gave his personal permission to put whatever I wanted onto the homepage.
